System Upgrades!

Honored Clients,

We are happy to announce, we are upgrading our servers. This will allow us to provide you with more security and control. We will be initiating the switch today!

Check out three very important new features!

Our datacenter has promised zero downtime, however there is a possibility of old DNS being cached for up to 72 hours after migration. This may affect people that have visited your site in the last 72 hours. This may also mean that any changes you make to your website in the next few days might be being done on the old servers, and will need to be re-done once the switch goes through. Although, we are initiating the upgrade today, we were unable to obtain a fixed completion time. We will be working with them over the weekend.

EMAIL: SOME CHANGES MAY NEED TO BE MADE.
Most of our clients do not need to make any changes. You either use Google Apps to power your email, or you don’t use your domain for email at all. However, if you use our servers to handle your email, and have an import setup through gmail, please note that after the server switch happens, you will need to make some changes to the gmail settings.

From your gmail account, go to settings > Accounts/Import > Check mail from other accounts and click the edit info link for the email account that is pulling mail from the server.
Make sure your settings are as follows:

  • Username: you@yourdomain.com
  • Password: your email address password
  • Server: yourdomain.com
  • Port: For IMAP use port 993, for POP3 use port 995
  • To send mail as you@yourdomain.com, use Outgoing server: yourdomain.com and SMTP port 465

Please let us know if you need any assistance with this. Contact us

We appreciate you choosing us! We are committed to customer support that cares, keeping your website yours, secure, and backed up. Unlike the big hosts, we maintain that your content belongs to you.

Boom!
